Service Explained
What Is Professional Label Printing?
A label is the specification document of a product. It carries the brand, the ingredients, the weight, the barcode and the batch or expiry information — and it has to stay stuck and readable through packing, transport, cold storage and a customer's hands.
That is why the label is specified rather than just designed: the die size, the face material, the adhesive and the roll direction are chosen for the container and for the machine that applies it, then approved on a proof before the run.
Design, prepress, printing, variable data, die-cutting and rewinding are handled as one production flow.
Common Label Problems
Why Do Labels Lift, Smudge or Fail Inspection?
Most label failures are specification failures. A paper label goes onto a chilled bottle, the adhesive is wrong for a curved or low-energy surface, a barcode prints under the minimum size, or the roll is wound in the direction the applicator cannot feed.
Every one of these is decided before printing — at the point where the container, the conditions and the application method are confirmed.
Labels Lifting at the Edge
The wrong adhesive for the surface, or a die that pushes the label edge too tight.
Smudged or Washed-Out Print
Paper stock in a chilled or wet cabinet soaks up moisture and blurs.
Barcodes That Do Not Scan
Too small, low contrast or printed with the wrong bar width for the scanner.
Applicator Jams
A roll wound the wrong way, or a core size the labelling machine cannot take.

The Process
How Our Label Printing Process Works
A short, repeatable workflow — from the container and the applicator to a finished roll of labels.
Size, die, material, adhesive, surface and deadline are confirmed.
The artwork is set to the die shape with bleed and safe margins.
Layout, colour, barcode scans and material are approved first.
The label is printed and variable data such as batch codes applied.
Labels are die-cut and rewound in the direction the applicator needs.
Cut accuracy, adhesion, colour and barcode scans are reviewed.
Face Stock & Adhesives
Label Materials, Liners & Adhesives
The face stock decides how the label looks and what it survives; the adhesive decides whether it stays down. Both are matched to the container and its conditions.
Paper Label Stock
Semi-gloss and uncoated paper that prints bright and takes writing or stamping — the default for dry, indoor and room-temperature products.
Synthetic & Clear Film
White and clear BOPP film that is waterproof, oil-resistant and tear-resistant, and clear-on-clear film where only the print should be visible.
Adhesives & Liners
Permanent, removable and freezer-grade adhesives on paper, glassine or film liners, chosen for the container material and its temperature.
Kraft & Textured Stock
Kraft, recycled and textured papers for a natural, artisanal look on premium food, coffee and gift packaging.
Metallized & Security Stock
Metallized paper and film, silver and holographic stock, and void or destructible materials for seals, warranties and premium branding.
Why It Matters
Why Does Label Quality Matter?
A label is read at the shelf, at the checkout and at customs. If it lifts, fades or returns an unreadable barcode, the cost is a rework run, a rejected pallet or a removed product — far more than the labels themselves.
Scannable Data
A barcode that scans first time keeps the line and the checkout moving.
Compliance & Legibility
Ingredients, weight and expiry stay readable on the shelf.
Staying Power
Correct adhesive keeps labels stuck through cold, wet and oily conditions.

Specification Guide
Which Label Specification Fits Your Product?
The right label follows the container, the conditions and the way it is applied. Use this comparison as a starting point.
| Label Spec | Best For | Conditions | Key Consideration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paper, Permanent Adhesive | Cartons, boxes, dry goods | Dry, room temperature | Most economical and easiest to write on |
| White BOPP Synthetic | Bottles, cosmetics, chemicals | Wet, oily, wiped | Waterproof and tear-resistant |
| Clear-on-Clear Film | Glass and clear plastic containers | Indoor to chilled | Needs white backing behind the print |
| Freezer-Grade Adhesive | Chilled and frozen food | Below 0 °C, condensation | Applied cold or warmed before application |
| Metallized / Holographic | Premium packs, seals, tickets | Indoor | Reflective — best with open artwork |
| Void / Destructible | Warranty and tamper-evident seals | Indoor | Leaves a mark if the label is removed |
Send the container, the storage conditions and the application method — a face stock, adhesive and die are recommended with the quotation.

Questions
Label Printing FAQs
The questions businesses ask before placing a label order.
Labels are produced to a product's specification — a fixed die size, a particular adhesive and, usually, variable data such as batch codes, weights or serial numbers — and they are applied in volume on a packing line or by hand. Stickers are usually single-piece promotional and branding items, such as a logo sticker or a retail seal. Both are die-cut and printed on the same machines, so either can be produced to the other's brief.
Standard dies such as 60 × 40 mm, 100 × 50 mm and 100 × 150 mm shipping labels are kept ready, and a custom die is made for any other size or shape. Roll widths up to 300 mm and label sizes from 20 mm to 300 mm are produced in-house, so a size that fits a specific bottle or carton face is no problem.
Yes. Freezer-grade adhesive is used for chilled and frozen products, so labels stay stuck at low temperatures and through condensation. For wet, icy or brined conditions a synthetic film label is recommended instead of paper.
Barcodes, QR codes, batch and lot numbers, expiry dates and sequential serial numbers are all printed from a data file supplied with the order. Every label can carry its own unique code, and sample scans are checked before the run is released.
Short runs start from 500 labels, which suits a new product or a seasonal flavour. Regular production programmes run from 10,000 to over 100,000 labels, and repeat orders keep the same die, material and colour so a new batch matches the previous one.
Yes. Blank A4 and A3 label sheets are supplied for office laser and inkjet printers, and blank rolls are produced for thermal transfer and direct thermal label printers, so you can print variable information in-house while we keep the pre-printed branding.
